50. South Virginia / Interior

The main entrances of the building open into interior vestibules that show more of DeLongchamps’s influence on details. The lobby is L-shaped, and wraps the building on the north and west sides. The lobby floor is made of terrazzo speckled with flecks of red, yellow, blue, black, white, and gray. A decorative border of grey marble surrounds the terrazzo. This is the same flooring material used in the public spaces, corridors, halls, and restrooms throughout the building. A black-and-white speckled marble baseboard wraps the lobby and entry vestibules at the floor. The walls are paneled in black Georgia marble with decorative aluminum buttons.
